Day 1: Bali - Surabaya - Bromo Area
Get ready to be picked up by our driver from your hotel in Bali and head to Ngurah Rai Airport. You will be flying to Surabaya shortly and once you land in Surabaya, you will meet our professional guide and drive to a Hotel in Bromo Area around 2 hours. Once you reach the Hotel you will have some time to spare at your convenience by strolling around the hotel, the nearby farming area, witnessing the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or just relaxing at the hotel.
Day 2: Sunrise Mt Penanjakan - Sea of Sand - Bromo Crater- Tumpak Sewu Area
Get ready to be picked up at 3.00 am by a 4 WD-vehicle to experience the bumpy road to reach Mt. Penanjakan 1 which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mountain on Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit history. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness the Yadnya Kasada ceremony, a Tenggerese festival held every 14th of the Kasada month, to honor Sang Hyang Widhi the Almighty God, Roro Anteng the daughter of King Majapahit and Joko Seger the son of Brahmana. After breakfast we will drive to Tumpak Sewu Area and have a rest.
